Do I need to pay a deposit?
That depends. If your are reserving a time within 3 months of a session I don't ask for a deposit, because normally I'm fitting you into my available days that are not reserved. If reserving a spot over 3 months then yes, but I try to stay reasonable, its 10% for weddings, 25% for everything else. Weddings are a big expense I much rather my clients have extra funds for their wedding than spending it on my deposit. Deposits are non refundable, but do get subtracted off final bill. If you cancel the shoot, no deposit is returned, because that is time I could have been for someone else. I understand weather can cause issues and will find the next best day for you if needed, but if you don't mind, I don't either and I will totally shoot in the rain :).
Do I sign a contract?
Yes! But I make it super easy! All contract can be signed electronically. Contracts are an assurance to both parties of what we agreed on.
What types of photography do you offer?
I offer a wide range from Weddings, portraits, engagements, headshots, family, events, to commercial. I specialize in working with people and its what I love to do, but can do mostly everything else as well.
What cameras and equipment do you use?
I use Nikon. My main camera that does most of the work is the nikon z8, I also have a nikon z6ii that I mostly use as a second body for weddings and just to have a backup. I work with godox off camera studio strobes lighting in all my shoots, this gives me the ability to work in any lighting condition to provide the best for my cleints.
What is you editing style?
Do you have galleries of examples of your work?
How long will it take to complete my photos? And how do I get them?
I personally edit and I scheduale it right after a shoot or wedding. For the typical 1 hour or less shoot, you'll have photos back usually within 3 days, for weddings and anything larger can take between 4 days - 3 weeks (depending on the package size).
All clients have a personal password protected gallery, where you can view and download photos.
What are the steps to book you?
Do you offer printing services?
Yes! Whcc is my photo lab for my website, this is a extra cost to your package, but directly from your gallery you can choose to buy something made. I offer prints on paper, canvas and metal. All will be shipped directly from my print lab to your address. But do know some people like to print it themselves and I give you the option to just download, its completely up to you!
How long will you keep my photos in the gallery? And do you keep a backup?
2 months from when I say your album is complete. I advise everyone to download all photos soon after. Clients photos take up alot of space on my website, I need to always free up space. I keep a backup on a very large hard drive of every cleints photos, but please don't rely on me to preserve your photos, I make no guarantees I'll keep them forever. I recommend downloading photos and having them stored on 2 portable hard drives (1 being a backup). For wedding clients I'll also give you a external hard drive with all your photos/video on it, its about wallet size which makes it a whole lot easier not to loose :)
What photo size is the best for social media?
In your gallery you will have the option to download 2 different file sizes. 2048px is for social media, its optimized for best quality. Original is a high resolution file, which is perfect for anything you have printed. Please do not use original sized on social media, the platform will have to compress the photo to fit their standards and it will make the photo look not sharp.
Im not natural in front of a camera, do you help with posing?
What happens if it rain on the day I have schedualed?
Do you have any restrictions on days and weekends?
This part of my body I don't like, can you fix it?
Can I have the raw files?
I do offer this to commercial clients with external editors and wedding clients that want all the good and the not so good shots for the memory of the day. For everything else you will need to contact me first and we can discuss it. Raw files don't have edits done to them, what you see as a end result might not look anything like the raws. Only request that im not mentioned as photographer if someone else edits photos, because its not a representation of my work.
